My first name, Sunil, literally means “Good (Su) Blue (nil)”, which I’ve been told refers to Lord Vishnu since his skin is blue in colour. ‘Sunil’ is also ‘Linus’ spelt backwards, which is not without a hint of irony!
The title of this blog comes from Oscar Wilde’s play Lady Windermere’s Fan. I haven’t read the play, just loved the quote..

Shiva is the one who is blue not Vishnu.

Shiva only had a blue neck (Neelkanth). I was actually referring to Krishna who was entirely blue..
