Life is far too important a thing ever to talk seriously about it..

RIP: Indian Cricket Team

India 191 (49.3 ov)
Bangladesh 192/5 (48.3 ov)

Bangladesh won by 5 wickets (with 9 balls remaining)

Sad day for Indian cricket.. as one of my friends put it, given the way Sri Lanka have been playing, it’s very likely they will beat India as well, meaning Indians might as well start planning their return trip.

The only consolation, perhaps, is that they won’t be alone in that trip. It’s raining quite hard in Kingston (to quote Cricinfo), and with every passing moment it seems more and more likely that Ireland will beat Pakistan. Since Pakistan have already lost to West Indies, this would mean the end of their campaign.

There was so much noise in the blogosphere (I finally get to use that word!) about ICC fixing the World Cup schedule when their official website proclaimed that there will be an India-Pak match on April  15.. Ah, the irony!

I think we should plan a 7 match ODI series against Pakistan as soon as both teams are back home :)

    hey
sad sight today to see sri lanka pounding the final nail in the indian coffin. well i heard from a reliable source that tendulkar will be in trinidad for a bit more as a guest of lara. alot of partying to be done!! i guess no exciting indian/pakistan rivalry in this w/cup. maybe its for the best.

Yeah.. I couldn’t watch the game coz I was busy at work, and when I finally got around to checking the score, most of the team was already out.

Did you go see it? I think i’ll take up your philosophy and go party regardless.. Tendulkar didn’t do much, lets see what Lara does.. Maybe Windies can make it to the finals!

yeah i did run down a friend of mine raffick jumadeen who played for the windies some years ago and got him to get us some passes on friday because i didnt intend on going. but after the sri lanka win i thought it would have been an exciting game, nail biting finish. both teams are strong and i was hoping for a fight to the end. but it didnt happen. i am a bit disappointed, i didnt even look at the windies game that was being played simultaneously.
well cant do anything now, really sad the 2 asia giants are going home and even worse this situation with pakistan. this world cup has been too eventful so far.
anyways im keeping an eye on the austrlia/ s africa game… and it doesnt look to dood for s africa.
